When St.Anton hosted the skiing world championships in 2001 many new buildings were built in the town, one of these was used as the press headquarters. However once the world championship circus had left town this building was transformed into what is now the ARLBERG-wellness.com center combining large event and conference halls with St.Anton's Wellness Center. The wellness center features everything that one could wish for : indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a whirlpool and waterfall, a sauna and steam suite (Finnish Sauna, Kelo-Sauna and Sa
unarium), gymnasium, beauty, tanning and massage facilities. There are also a couple of large relaxation areas. It really is a lovely facility, the large top sauna is set out like a large log cabin and has great views out across the lower slopes. The steam room has loads of little lights in the ceiling that gradually change colour as you steam away your aches and pains. A visit to the wellness center is the perfect way to relax after a days skiing, let the children swim and play in the pools while you unwind and relax those aching muscles in the sauna or steam room. Just remember that this is Austria and swimming costumes are banned in the sauna and steam areas...... no need to be shy !!
The wellness center is adjacent to the ski slopes up from the center of the village and opposite the old railway station buildings. Ask anybody for directions, you should not be able to miss the large elegant modern building that houses the wellness center.
